I Don’t Believe It!
Let’s just not mention the Monaco Grand Prix, OK! I couldn’t believe it when Raikkonen drove into the barrier in Q2 on Saturday, ending up in exactly the same parking spot where Schumacher ‘understeered’ last year! Talk about ironic. With only one point in the race a lap down on a dominant McLaren 1-2, I have a horrible feeling that once again the championship trophy won’t be heading for a Finnish mantelpiece.
Meanwhile, there’s once again a tie at the top of the standings, now between Alonso and Hamilton. Monaco was another race I watched from our shop at Brands Hatch, as I was up there working at the historic meeting. We sold plenty of beanies and jackets, as it was one of the coldest and wettest events I’ve ever been to.
Over the weekend Minichamps announced that they were cancelling the two car set of Lehto’s 1993 Sauber and Villeneuve’s 2005 Sauber that commemorated the team’s career.
We have now received three new cars from Mattel, the two China tour Ferrari 612 Scagliettis in red (HW7127) and silver (HW7129), and the #102 Ferrari F430 Challenge car (HW7113).
