On to Ofterdingen!
Today we crossed the border into Germany to visit the country’s official Mattel importer based in Ofterdingen. Our most interesting find was a pre-production sample of the 1:18 Ferrari 333 SP from Mattel’s 60th Anniversary Collection (HW2975), so I think we can expect to see this released first. The special metallic red colourway was true to the images we have so far been provided with by Mattel.
Back at home, we received Spark’s 1:18 Audi R10s from the 2006 Le Mans 24 hours. These are the winning no. 8 car of Biela, Pirro and Werner (SPA180008), and the 3rd place no. 7 car of Kristensen, McNish and Capello (SPA180007). We also received Red Line’s 1:24 replica of the winning Ferrari from the 1961 Le Mans 24 hours, campaigned by Phil Hill and Oliver Gendebien (RL006).
