Ice Ice Baby!
We received a Minichamps delivery today, which included the latest 1:12 Valentino Rossi figure. It’s the 2005 Laguna Seca sitting version, giving the thumbs up (PO50096). It’s limited to 3,999 pieces.
We also received the next batch of 1:43 2007 F1 showcars, at long last. Minichamps have done a really good job with the Earth graphics on the two Hondas of Jenson Button (DC27407P) and Rubens Barrichello (DC27408P). These will be the only 2007 Honda replicas available before Christmas, as Minichamps confirmed yesterday that we will not see the racecar versions until next year. The other showcars on the delivery were Nico Rosberg’s Williams (DC27416P), and Takuma Sato’s Super Aguri (DC27422P).
Finally, Minichamps confirmed a change to the description of the imminent 1:43 McLaren MP4-98T two-seater. It will now not have Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard in the car, but Hakkinen and his wife Erja instead, from a specific event in Lapland in 2000. The replica will even come with snow-studded tyres! We’ve been provided with a preview image, which you can see by clicking on the link.
