Mattel Announces 2008 Projects……Are You Ready?

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

The rest of Mattel’s 2008 range was announced today, all of which can now be found at the top of our ‘New Announcements’ category.

It’s good to see some 1:18 and 1:43 Formula One Ferrari specials from the second half of the 2007 season in the darker shade of red, and the 1:43 Ferrari 200th win collection also looks very interesting, with a replica representing the marque’s 1st, 50th, 100th, 150th and 200th wins in the sport.

In the 1:18 Elite range, there are brand new toolings in the shape of the Ferrari 149 and Ferrari Dino 246, as well as an ‘upgrade’ of existing replicas such as the F430 coupe and F355 Berlinetta.

See them all in the new announcements section.

We haven’t had all the exact details yet but I am presuming that they will have the correct aero package. The 2006 specials did.

    Hello Leigh,

Just a small correction to your remark in the diecast catalogue received today that the Brabham BT19 had never been offered as a model before. True never as a diecast as far as I know, but neither is SMTS a diecast either, even if this particular model was only offered as a kit and not both in kit as well as fully built form like SMTS do, the manufacturer Italian HiFi years ago!
We all make our mistakes said the groundhog as he stepped off the rootbrush!
OK, it is not entirely fair as you are much younger than I am, so no need to worry here, I just thought that you would like to know……

Cheers from snowy (it finally came today……) Helsinki, Hasse
