The Day That’s Had Everything (Diecast-Related)
Today we received the menacing Lamborghini Reventon in 1:18 scale from Mondo Motors (MD50040). It looks great, it’s just a shame that it arrived a bit too late to be included in this week’s webcast! Oh well, something exciting to start next week’s off with!
Norev announced their 1:18 replica of the 2008 Formula One Renault R28 (DC2805). They will only be replicating Fernando Alonso however. So, that just leaves Minichamps to announce their 2008 F1 subjects then…………..
Finally, some interesting Prodrive special releases were announced today, all of which can be found at the top of our ‘New Announcements’ category. The highlights are a 1:18 AUTOart Gulf Aston Martin DBR9 presentation car from this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours, which comes in a special Gulf liveried box and on a carbon fibre effect base (AA80800), and a 1:43 three car set of IXO replicas celebrating Subaru’s three drivers’ world rally championship titles (IXO10); Colin McRae in 1994, Richard Burns in 2001 and Petter Solberg in 2003. All of these specials will be extremely limited editions so pre-ordering (preferably from us!) is again the safest way.
