Ready For The Minichamps June Release Schedule?
Today we received Minichamps’ June release schedule, and it is probably one of the most exciting I have ever seen. Several new Rossi releases are on it, as well as a new Senna car, and a lot of the ‘missing’ F1 cars from the 2006 season (but no, not the Button Hungary ‘First win’ Honda)!
Next week we will receive two Rossi releases; his 1:12 1996 Aprilia (P960046), and 1:12 riding figure from the Sachsenring in 2006 (PO60196), where he celebrated victory by wearing a Materazzi football shirt.
We will also see several new F1 releases. In 1:18 scale, there will be Fernando Alonso’s 2007 McLaren MP4/22 (DC2701). In 1:43, we will receive Rubens Barrichello’s 2006 black Honda RA106 testcar (DC26411T), Nick Heidfeld’s 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix BMW F1.06 (DC26416B), Takuma Sato’s 2006 ‘late season’ Super Aguri SA06 (DC26422B), Scott Speed’s 2007 Toro Rosso STR2 (DC27419), and Nelson Piquet Jnr’s 2008 Renault showcar (DC28406P). All in one week! Phew!
The following week sees another new Rossi release, in his 1:8 Mugello 2007 helmet (PO70876), and a load more F1 cars! These are all 1:43 scale, and are Christian Klien’s 2006 black Honda RA106 testcar (DC26411TK), Robert Kubica’s 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix BMW F1.06 (DC26417B), and Aguri Suzuki’s 2006 Super Aguri SA06 testcar (DC26424).
The week beginning 16th June we will receive what I consider the most exciting subject of the month; the 28th release in the 1:43 Ayrton Senna Racing Car Collection. It will be his 1983 British Formula 3 Championship winning Ralt RT3 (AS028). We will also see Valentino Rossi’s 1:43 2006 Mercedes DTM testcar (P063646), Scott Speed’s 1:43 2006 Toro Rosso STR1 (DC26421), and Sakon Yamamoto’s 1:43 2006 ‘late season’ Super Aguri SA06 (DC26423B).
The final week of the Rossi-dominated schedule sees his 1:12 2001 pre-season Honda NSR 500 test bike released (PO16946).
I normally say that as the weekly release schedules come out during the month we will see more new releases added onto them, but there is so much crammed onto this monthly release schedule that I wonder whether that will be the case this month!
