What Timing From Minichamps!

posted in Diecast, Formula 1 |

The new Minichamps delivery arrived today, with the all-important two new Lewis Hamilton releases on it!

The first one is the 1:18 replica of his first McLaren test at Silverstone on 19th September 2006, complete with wet tyres (DC2684). It is a limited edition of 3,333 pieces.

The second replica is Hamilton’s 1:43 2008 McLaren showcar (DC28422P). It includes the bridge front wing and is a limited edition of 5,040 pieces.

Given how popular Hamilton diecast is, I’m pleasantly surprised that the limited edition numbers on these replicas aren’t significantly greater than they actually are.

The other new release today came all the way from America, our next 1:24 NASCAR replica. It is Dario Franchitti’s 2008 Fastenal sponsored Dodge Charger (SG0840).

Nothing confirmed yet - think it could still be a good few weeks (or possibly even months) before we finally see it.
