Today IXO announced several 1:43 replicas from this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. I think this is the first time that Spark have been beaten in this department; they are usually King of the endurance replicas!

There will be the winning Peugeot 908 of David Brabham, Alex Wurz and Marc Gene of course, as part of IXO’s Le Mans Winners Collection (LM2009). Their team-mates #7 (LMM164) and #8 (LMM165) will also be replicated.

There will also be all three LMP1 Aston Martins, headlined by the #007 fourth place car of Enge, Mucke and Charouz (LMM166), and then their team-mates #008 (LMM167) and #009 (LMM168).

The other Le Mans replica of note will be the Bruno Senna Oreca (LMM170). You can click here to see IXO’s other 2009 Le Mans announcements, including the three Audi R15s, both Audi R10s, and the GT1 Corvettes as well.

Away from Le Mans, but staying with endurance racing, there was another exciting announcement in the Aston Martin DBR9 that won the Silverstone round of the 2008 FIA GT Championship, in the hands of Karl Wendlinger and Ryan Sharp (GTM083). It will come in special packaging, and will be a limited edition of just 999 examples.

In a rather exciting range this week, we see the 2009 Aston Martin LMP1 showcar by Spark, a peek at the new Lamborghini Estoque and the latest classic and modern rally cars from Sun Star. We also announce June’s Model Of The Month. Minichamps, Spark and Trofeu also make up the new releases.
