Right, a fair bit to get through today (Leigh always seems to know the busiest times to go away!).
Starting off with Mattel, who today sent us an exciting new Ferrari sample in 1:18. Sorry it’s not the 458 Italia, but instead it’s the red colourway of the 550 Barchetta (HW2054). A very exciting car indeed and we can’t wait to see the black version (HW2055).
Shortly afterwards, Minichamps caught our attention with their new delivery, on which was Alex Hofmann’s 2007 Ducati (PO70066), the 1:18 McLaren Mercedes SLR Roadster (PG037130) and 1:43 replicas of the white Bugatti EB110 (P102114) and the black Bentley Continental GT (P139600).
In regards to the Hot Model of the day, we nominated AUTOart’s popular Lotus Cortina (AA75331), and bearing in mind that it’s a bank holiday coming up, you have an extra day to purchase the Cortina with free postage!
On that note, we’re signing off until Tuesday and are looking forward to (hopefully) another unpredictable race at Spa!

We can announce a very exciting new signed subject today, in the form of a Corgi James Bond Lotus Esprit two car set signed by none other than Roger Moore himself (CG007S)!
The two Esprits featured are the white submarine version from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, and the red example with skis on the back from ‘For Your Eyes Only’. The set is limited to just 1,500 examples worldwide (each is individually numbered), and we are getting just 100 signed. We have never done a Roger Moore signing before, and it is doubtful that he will ever sign for us again. The signing is due to take place in October.
In other news, today’s Hot Model Of The Day is Mattel’s 1:18 Ferrari Dino 246 GT in red (HW2044).
I’m off to Spa tomorrow for the Belgian Grand Prix, but someone will fill in for me on this blog! It will be my last F1 race of the season, so could it be the last time I see Kimi Raikkonen in a Grand Prix?

As ever, these are only available to order over the phone (0844 887 8888), so that we don’t oversell on our website, and there is a limit of one per customer.

Today we received both a new delivery and a new release schedule from Minichamps!
On the delivery the highlights were Alex Barros’s 1:12 2007 Ducati Desmosedici (PO70004), and the 1:43 Jaguar XF in silver (P130701).
The first week of the new schedule is for the week beginning 7th September, and then we will receive the Valentino Rossi 1:2 helmet from Valencia 2003 (PO32086), and the 1:12 Casey Stoner 1:12 2007 Ducati Desmosedici from Phillip Island, complete with figure and flag (PO70097).
The following week we will receive a very collectible 1:43 replica, of Nigel Mansell’s Williams FW10 from the European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch in 1985, which was of course his first Grand Prix victory (P850105). Also released that week will be Nelson Piquet’s 1:43 1985 Williams FW10 from his Paul Ricard test (P850005), and a re-release of the always popular Ayrton Senna 1:18 1991 McLaren MP4/6 (AS193).
For the week beginning 21st September, we will see the third of Minichamps’ 1985 Williams FW10s, which will be Keke Rosberg’s winning car from the Australian Grand Prix at Adelaide (P850006), and the 1:43 2008 Le Mans winning Audi R10 of McNish, Kristensen and Capello (P089802).
There will then be two weeks without any new Minichamps releases, as they have their annual end of September stocktake.
The last week of the schedule is for the week beginning 12th October, and the big news is that then we will finally see Nicky Hayden’s 1:12 2006 Moto GP Championship winning Honda RC211V (PO61069)! We hope to have the signed version (PO61069S) completed shortly afterwards. As we have been offering it for three years now, we will not get many more signed than we have pre-sold at the time of the signing, so get your pre-order in to make sure of your example!

Today Amalgam announced their latest 1:1 steering wheel replica, of the 2009 Ferrari F60 (AML936). This is the first 2009 ‘life-size’ steering wheel they have confirmed so far, so hopefully more will be announced soon.
In other news, we received the hotly anticipated Mattel 1:18 Steve McQueen Ferrari 250 Berlinetta (HW9912), and Shelby Collectibles 1:18 Aston Martin DBR1 that won Le Mans in 1959 (DC559), that I had mentioned yesterday were due imminently.
