Today we received sample images of Mattel’s 1:12 Batcycle, from the 1960s Batman TV series (HW0006). It looks quite impressive, especially with Robin’s removable go-kart inside the sidecar! It is due for release in the week before Christmas, which obviously is cutting it a bit fine, so please prepare yourself for the possibility that it might slip into 2010!

Today we received the new Minichamps delivery, headlined by the 1:43 Nigel Mansell ‘First Win’ special, of his Williams FW10 from the 1985 European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch (P850105). We also received the Williams FW10 of Nelson Piquet from his test at Paul Ricard at the end of the season (P850005).
On the restock front, we received re-supplies of one of our most popular ever Ayrton Senna replicas, his 1:18 1991 McLaren MP4/6 (AS193), that he campaigned on his way to his third and final world title.
Universal Hobbies also announced a new 1:16 tractor today, in the form of the Ford County 654 (J2826). This is another ‘four big wheels’ release from them!
Finally, Mattel provided us with sample images of their 1:18 replica of the #34 Ferrari F40 from the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours (HW2071). Hopefully this isn’t too far away.

Things were rather calm on the new releases front today. However the one that did get delivered today was the one we were looking forward to the most!
We’ve received Corgi’s two-car set of James Bond’s Lotus Esprits from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ and ‘For Your Eyes Only’, now complete with the signature of Sir Roger Moore (CG007S). The set itself is a limited edition of only 1,500 examples, and Sir Roger was kind enough to sign 100 of these.
It’s not everyday we get an actor (never mind a James Bond actor) to sign for us, but here is your chance to claim a unique piece of 007 history!

Today both Spark and Norev announced some new replicas.
The new 1:43 Spark announcements were more subjects from this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours, including the #17 Peugeot 908 (SPK1290), and the second and third placed LMP2 cars of the #33 Lola Judd (SPK1445) and the #24 Pescarolo Mazda (SPK1526).
The rest of Spark’s newly announced subjects are currently at the top of our New Announcements section, along with the 1:18 replicas that Norev have just confirmed.
The most interesting of these is the 2009 Dakar Rally winning Volkswagen Touareg, as driven by De Villiers (NV188466).
Other news today is that we have now sold out of Minichamps 1:43 Jenson Button 2009 Brawn showcars (DC29422P), as his replicas are becoming popular again now that he looks ever more likely to take the title.
Finally today, don’t forget our Damages Day is this Saturday at our warehouse and offices in Guildford. There will be big discounts on good models with damaged boxes, and even bigger ones on models that have damage as well! The doors will be open from 9am until 2pm.

Away from diecast, we’ve been receiving lots of requests for one area where you can locate all of our new Valentino Rossi merchandise. Well, now we have one. Click on the link to see it in all its glory!

We saw a new addition to our diecast range today. It goes by the name of Welly, and along with the likes of Norev and Maisto, they provide a vast array good quality replicas and have aimed at the value-for-money area of the diecast market.
They sent us a first delivery of some of their 1:18 subjects, the highlights of which were the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in orange (W18015), the Nissan 350Z Nismo (W12539S) and finally, a 1:18 replica of the popular Volkswagen Microbus (W12531).
Also in the delivery were a few subjects in 1:24 scale, such as the 2003 Lotus Elise 111S in yellow (W22447), the Land Rover Defender in white (W22498) and replicas of all three De Loreans from the Back To The Future trilogy.
One last thing to add today. Earlier on in the week we were given product images for the Minichamps 1:43 Top Gear range. We are now offering all six replicas in one complete set, giving yourself a neat £30 saving!

We received new deliveries from Kyosho and Mattel today.
By far the most interesting item on the Kyosho delivery was the 1:18 Audi R8 DTM safety car from 2008 (KY9214DTM).
New from Mattel was the last in their five car 1:43 series commemorating Ferrari’s 200 Grand Prix wins. It is Jose Froilan Gonzalez’s 575 from the 1951 British Grand Prix (HW5600B), which of course was the scuderia’s first win, so this collection is now complete. Also new on the Mattel delivery was Michele Alboreto’s 1:43 winning Ferrari 156 from the 1985 Canadian Grand Prix (HW5585).
Other news today is that we came across a handful of the Minichamps 1:12 2001 summer test bikes of Mick Doohan (PO17999) and Freddie Spencer (PO17998). These were both pre-sold out before they were released a few weeks ago, being limited to just 504 pieces each, although this was not written on the side of the packaging. They are only available from us over the phone (0844 887 8888), and are limited to one per customer. Of course, we are honouring the original retail price of £49.99, and not charging double that like some sellers are on eBay at the moment!

Today we have a lot of Renault Formula One diecast news. Norev released the first 1:18 F1 replica of 2009, in the form of Fernando Alonso’s Renault R29 (DC2907NV). In addition to this, Minichamps announced both 1:18 (DC2908G) and 1:43 (DC29408G) replicas of Romain Grosjean’s 2009 Renault R29.
There’s more Minichamps news as we received a new delivery from them today as well. Highlights were Valentino Rossi’s 2003 1:2 Valencia helmet, with the ‘Austin Powers’ design (PO32086), the Casey Stoner 1:12 Ducati special from the 2007 Phillip Island Moto GP, which comes complete with figure and Australian flag (PO70097), and the 1:43 2009 Ford Fiesta in blue (P088000).
There’s also some bad news for those of you who have pre-ordered Minichamps’ 1:12 2009 Moto GP replicas of Mika Kallio (PO90036) and Niccolo Canepa (PO90088). Unfortunately, Minichamps cancelled these today.
