New 1:18 Announcements From TSM
Today TrueScale Miniatures became the first brand to reveal its 2013 programme. There are some pretty good 1:18 announcements, in both resin and diecast.
Our favourite has to be the 1:18 2012 Bentley Continental GT3 launch car (TSM131804). The British marque’s brutish GT3 racer will certainly make for an imposing replica. TrueScale will also be producing a 1:18 replica of the Bentley Speed 8 that Johnny Herbert, David Brabham and Mark Blundell took to third at Sebring in ’03 (TSM131811).
The 1:18 Jackie Stewart 1973 Tyrrell 006 was easily TrueScale’s best selling subject of 2012. Two more variants have now been announced: Jackie Stewart’s 1973 Belgian Grand Prix winning Tyrrell 006 (TSM131810), and the Tyrrell 006 that Francois Cevert took to second in the 1973 German Grand Prix (TSM131809).
There was also a selection of McLaren endurance racers; including the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours winning McLaren F1 GTR (TSM131805), the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 that Danny Watts drove in the 2012 Macau GT3 Cup (TSM131803), and the Von Ryan Racing McLaren MP4-12C GT3 which Rob Barff, Chris Goodwin, Alvaro Parente and Roger Wills drove in the 2012 Spa 24 Hours (TSM131815).
