Yet Another Delivery From Spark!

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

Unbelievably we have received another delivery of over 20 new 1:43 models from Spark today.

Our favourite model is the Jody Scheckter Tyrrell 007 from the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix (SPK1882), with its impressively intricate helmet oxygen pipe.

We also took delivery of two Daytona 24 Hour winners: the Porsche 907L that was driven to victory in the 1968 race by Vic Elford, Jochen Neerpasch and Rolf Stommelen (SPA43DA68), and the 1984 race winning “Kreepy-Krauly” March 83G-Porsche of Sarel van de Merwe, Graham Duxbury and Tony Martin (SPA43DA84).

Other replicas of interest included the 1971 Triumph Spitfire Mk.IV in white (SPK1409), the 1980 Lotus Elite S2 Essex (SPK2190), and the Matra MS1 that Jean-Pierre Jaussaud drove to victory in the 1965 Monthlery F3 race (SPKSF056). This last one is a French market special edition, which is limited to 500 pieces worldwide.

Spark also sent us its release schedule for the beginning of August. Perhaps the most exciting subjects are the 1:43 Pastor Maldonado 2013 Williams FW35 from the Australian Grand Prix (DC213416K), and the 1:43 Valtteri Bottas 2013 Williams FW35 from the Australian Grand Prix (DC213417K). We can’t believe that, already, Spark is starting to release its 2013 F1 cars.

Other great replicas on their way include the 1:43 Jacques Laffite 1981 Canadian Grand Prix winning Ligier JS17 (SPK1638),  the 1:18 2012 Toyota TS020 Hybrid presentation car (SPA8S084), and the 1:18 #181 Porsche 961 which was driven by Rene Metge and Claude Ballot-Lena at Le Mans in 1986 (SPA18S048).
