Spark Releases 2012 Le Mans Winner In 1:18

posted in Diecast, Formula 1 |

Today we received 18 new subjects from Spark. There seems to be a constant stream of releases coming from the resin brand at the moment. And it’s quality and quantity!

The most exciting replica on the delivery was a 1:18 replica of the #1 Audi R18 E-tron Quattro that was driven to victory in the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours by Marcel Fassler, Benoit Treluyer and Andre Lotterer (SPA18LM12).

We also took delivery, in 1:43 scale, of the 1964 Targa Florio winning Porsche 904 GTS of Colin Davis and Antonio Pucci (SPK3449).

In fact, fans of Porsche were positively spoilt for choice. We received the 1:43 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S in dark blue (SPK2092), the 1:43 1976 Porsche 935 test car (SPK3404) and the 1:43 1983 Porsche 956 TAG engine test car (SPK3410).

Our favourite model was the 1:43 Reve Collection Suzuki Sport XL7 that Nobuhiro Tajima drove to victory at Pikes Peak in 2007 (SPKR70071). It looks absolutely awesome.

Spark sent us just two 1:43 classic F1 subjects today, but they were interesting nonetheless. They took the form of the Clay Regazzoni Shadow DN8 from the 1978 Brazilian Grand Prix (SPK3831), and the Shadow DN8 that was raced by Arturo Merzario in the 1977 Austrian Grand Prix (SPK3830).
