Spark Releases 2013 Williams FW35s

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

Today we received a massive new delivery from Spark. Impressively, the resin brand has beaten Mattel, Minichamps and Corgi in the race to release the first 2013 F1 replicas.

Spark sent us the 1:43 Pastor Maldonado 2013 Williams FW35 (DC213416K) and the 1:43 Valtteri Bottas 2013 Williams FW35 (DC213417K). Both of these models are specifically from the Australian Grand Prix.

There were two interesting classic 1:43 F1 subjects on the delivery as well: Jacques Laffite’s 1981 Canadian Grand Prix winning Ligier JS17complete with wet tyres (SPK1628) and the Lotus 18 that Michael May raced in the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix (SPK1828).

McLaren fans will probably be interested in the 1:43 1969 McLaren M6 GT in red (SPK3113), as it is a replica of Bruce McLaren’s personal car.

We received several 1:18 replicas as well today, including the 2012 Toyota TS030 Hybrid presentation car (SPA18S084), and the #7 (SPA18S070) and #8 (SPA18S071) race cars from the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours.

There was also the Porsche 961 as raced by Rene Metge and Claude Ballot-Lena in the 1986 Le Mans 24 Hours (SPA18S048), and the Porsche 997 GT3 R that Romain Dumas took to second in the 2012 Pikes Peak Hill Climb (SPA18S075).
