Spark Releases First McLaren F1 Car

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

Today we received another whopping delivery of over 20 1:43 subjects from Spark.

The highlight was undoubtedly Bruce McLaren’s McLaren M2B from the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix (SPK3093). This race is highly significant, as it was the eponymous team’s debut of F1.

Our favourite, however, was the Reve Collection replica of Stefan Johansson’s Spirit 201C from the 1983 Dutch Grand Prix (SPKR70253).

Other classic F1 replicas included the BRM P261 that Richie Ginther took to second place at Monaco in 1964 (SPK1157), and Innes Ireland’s Lotus 16 from the 1959 Dutch Grand Prix (SPK1837).

We also like the ‘Red Lobster’ March 83G Chevrolet that Kenper Miller and Mauricio DeNarvaez drove to third place in the 1984 Riverside 6 Hours (SPK2992).

In terms of road cars, we received the 2012 Aston Martin Virage in dark metallic blue (SPK2170), the 2012 Lotus Exige S in metallic green (SPK2191) and the MG Midget Mk.4 in green (SPK4135).
