The Minichamps Drought Has Finally Ended!

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

After six long weeks, we finally received a delivery of over three dozen new subjects from Minichamps. This means that we are now fully up to date, and will go back to receiving Minichamps replicas on a week by week basis.

Of course, finally, Minichamps released the 2012 Williams FW34s of Bruno Senna (DC212419) and Pastor Maldonado (DC212418), as well as Pastor Maldonado’s 2012 Spanish Grand Prix winner (DC212418B).

The 1:43 Lewis Hamilton 2013 Mercedes showcar (DC213410P) also arrived.

Possibly the best looking model on the delivery was the 1:43 #10 Alfa Romeo T33/3 that Nanni Galli and Rolf Stommelen drove in the 1971 Nurburgring 1000km (P711210). It also comes in some rather nice Alfa Romeo branded packaging.

There were plenty of 1:43 road cars too. Highlights included the 1985 Volkswagen Golf GTI 8v in black (P054122), the 1975 BMW 318 in white (P025410) and the 1960 Bentley S2 in red (P139951).

Today wasn’t all about Minichamps, however. Both IXO and BBR announced new subjects today. IXO announced both Ken Block’s spectacular Monster liveried Subaru Impreza WRX STi from the 2008 Rally America (JC275), and the Subaru Impreza WRX STi that Travis Pastrana steered in the 2009 Rally America (JC277), in 1:43 scale.

BBR announced the gorgeous 1:18 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C Lungo in blue (BBR1803A), Gianni Agnelli’s personal Ferrari 375 AM in 1:18 (BBR1804), and a 1:43 replica of Fernando Alonso’s 2013 Spanish Grand Prix winning Ferrari F138 (BBRC131).
