Full Steam Ahead!

posted in Diecast, Other Cars |

After putting all of Corgi’s modern truck subjects onto our website (click here to see them all), we have now decided to offer Corgi’s fantastic range of Rail Legends 1:120 scale steam engines as well.

We’ve put nine of the latest replicas up on the website, including famous locomotives like the Flying Scotsman (CG97601, in restored 2011 guise), Mallard (CG97501) and Britannia (CG97701). See the full selection at www.diecastlegends.com/trains.

In other news, Trofeu announced three new 1:43 subjects that will be with us in a couple of weeks or so. The most interesting subject is Jim Clark’s battle scarred Lotus Cortina Mk.1 from the 1966 RAC Rally (TRBRL07). The replica will feature the damage sustained to the front wing of the car after Clark slid off sideways on the 40th stage at Loch Aray. The car was repaired, but the Scot would later retire from the rally after rolling the Cortina on the 45th stage.

There was also the Dunlop-liveried Ford Escort Mk.1 that Rosemary Smith drove in the 1972 RAC Rally (TR544) and the Fiat 131 Abarth that was piloted by Attilio Bettega in the 1980 San Remo Rally (TR1425).

Finally today, we would like to mention that we have added some 30 new models to our third off Sale section. Click here to take a look.
