Two F1 Champions Announced By Spark In 1:18

posted in Diecast, Other Cars, Formula 1 |

Today we put nine absolutely brilliant 1:18 classic F1 announcements from Spark up onto our website.

Most importantly, the resin brand announced two F1 world champions that have never been replicated before in 1:18 scale: the 1980 Williams FW07B of Alan Jones (SPA18S117) and Nelson Piquet’s Williams FW11B from 1987 (SPA18S118).

This is extremely exciting stuff, and these two subjects could well be the new announcements of the year!

There is also the Lotus 25 that Jim Clark raced in the 1962 Dutch Grand Prix (SPA18S119); a significant race in that it was the car’s grand prix debut.

The Leyton House CG901 that Ivan Capelli took to second in the 1990 French Grand Prix (SPA18S112), the March 711 that Ronnie Peterson raced to second in the 1971 Monaco Grand Prix (SPA18S113), and Jackie Stewart’s 1969 Spanish Grand Prix winning Matra MS80 (SPA18S115) are the best of the rest.

In other news, we received a new delivery from Mattel today. There was the 1:43 Fernando Alonso 2013 Ferrari F138 (DC213404), and the 1:18 2011 Ferrari 599XX EVO (HWBCJ91).

There were also plenty of 1:18 Batman subjects too, including the Super Elite Batmobile Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy (HWBCJ99), which includes a swatch of Batman cape material, and the 1966 Batmobile with figures (HWBCJ95).
