All Of Minichamps’ 2014 Announcements Now Online

posted in Diecast, Other Cars |

Today we put the rest of Minichamps’ 2014 announcements onto our website. There is no real stand-out subject in this year’s programme, which is a shame, but there is still plenty worth mentioning.

This latest group was dominated by 1:18 ABS replicas. Along with the Fiesta RS WRCs and SLS AMG GT3s there were two new toolings: the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 and the BMW Z4 GT3.

We think the Z4 GT3 will look brilliant in 1:18, especially when it takes the form of the Team Vita4One car that Marco Wittmann, Pedro Lamy, Richard Goransson and Jens Klingmann drove in the 2012 Nurburgring 24 Hours (PG122318).

The best of the McLarens was the MP4-12C GT3 that raced in the 2013 Spa 24 Hours in the hands of Rob Barff, Chris Goodwin and Bruno Senna (PG131388).

Sticking with the McLaren theme, the German brand announced some five racing variants of the Mclaren F1 GTR racer in 1:18. The McLaren F1 GTR that placed third in the 1997 Le Mans 24 Hours (PG133743) is probably the best of these.

There will also be 1:18 DRM Ford Capri Turbos for Klaus Ludwig (1980, PG808501), Manfred Winkelhock (1981, PG818555), and Klaus Niedwiedz (1982, PG828503).

These were joined by one more new Rossi announcement: the 1:12 Valentino Rossi ‘stretching’ figure from the 2008 Barcelona Moto GP (PO80186).
