Almost 100 Le Mans Announcements From Spark

posted in Diecast, Other Cars |

Today we put the next glut of Spark’s 2014 announcements onto our website. This time it was the turn of the classic Le Mans cars, of which there were an impressive 97 subjects.

Of course there were plenty of Porsches, along with several Venturis, and your usual Rondeaus and Renault Alpines.

But what really stood out for us were some fabulous British cars. The most exciting was the Aston Martin DB3S that Stirling Moss at Peter Collins drove to second at Le Mans in 1956 (SPK2409).

Spark will also be replicating the gorgeous Aston Martin DP212 that was raced by Graham Hill and Richie Ginther at La Sarthe in 1962 (SPK2412).

We also like the MGB Hardtop that was raced by Paddy Hopkirk and Alan Hutcherson in the 1963 Le Mans 24 Hours (SPK4136), the Jaguar D-Type that Paul Frere and Freddy Rousselle drove to fourth place at Le Mans in 1957 (SPK2131) and the cute little Ecurie Ecosse 1961 Austin Healey Sprite Sebring of Ninian Sanderson and Alan McKay (SPK4127).
