The Pole Position That Wasn’t!

posted in Diecast, Formula 1 |

Today we received Minichamps’ latest delivery, headlined by their 1:43 replica of Michael Schumacher’s Mercedes F1 W02 from the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix (DC212407M). The base commemorates ‘1st in qualifying’, as Schumacher didn’t actually start from pole position after serving a five place grid penalty for his involvement in a collision with Bruno Senna at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Also on the delivery were what could well be Minichamps’ last ever Formula One showcars (as they haven’t announced any for the 2014 season), of the 2013 Saubers of Nico Hulkeberg (DC213411P) and Esteban Gutierrez (DC213412P). I know Minichamps haven’t released the 2012 Force India showcars yet, but I’d be surprised to see them released now gven that the race cars are already in existence.
