Schuco Releases 1:18 1960 Brabham Cooper In 1:18

posted in Endurance, Diecast, Formula 1 |

Today we received new deliveries from German diecast brands Schuco and Minichamps.

Schuco released an absolutely stunning 1:18 model of Jack Brabham’s 1960 Cooper T53 (SCH0340), which is a Formula One World Champion that has never been replicated before in this scale.

It’s just as good as the 1959 Cooper T51 that they released last year. It has removable front bodywork, an opening engine cover and working steering.  Some of the finer details on this replica are very impressive, especially the intricate bonnet catches, the delicate brake lines and the inclusion of the butterflies in the carburetors.

We should also mention that it is a limited edition of 2,000 pieces worldwide.

We also took delivery of five new replicas from Minichamps, including some interesting 1:43 endurance subjects: the Porsche 956K test car that ran at Paul Ricard in 1982 (P826700), the Aston Martin DBRS9 that Jonathan Cocker and Leo Machitski drove in the Spa round of the 2006 FIA European GT3 Championship (P061344), and the Aston Martin DBRS9 hat Eddy Renard, Koen Wauters, Jeffrey van Hooydonk and Julien Schroyen drove in the 2009 Spa 24 Hours (P091372).
