Exciting Villeneuve Announcements From Brumm

posted in Road Cars, Resin, Diecast, Formula 1 |

Today Brumm announced two very exciting new subjects, both of which feature the legendary Gilles Villeneuve.

The one we’re most excited about is a 1:43 Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux two car set (BR058), which pays tribute to the duel between the two drivers for second place in the 1979 French Grand Prix at Dijon.

The set will feature a Spark 1:43 resin replica of Rene Arnoux’s Renault RS12 and a Brumm 1:43 diecast replica of Gilles Villeneuve’s Ferrari 312 T4. It will be limited 500 pieces worldwide.

Brumm has also confirmed that it will be producing a 1:43 replica of the Ferrari 312 T4 that Gilles Villeneuve raced in the 1979 Dutch Grand Prix (BR059). This replica, though, has a bit of a twist, in that Brumm has replicated the car with its left rear wheel trailing behind it.

Villeneuve suffered a puncture during the race, and famously drove his car back to the pits on three wheels! Again, this replica is limited to just 500 pieces.

In other news, we have now received restocks of BBR’s 1:18 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB in red (BBR1805). Our first delivery of this model sold out to pre-orders so this is the first time that the model has been available straight from stock.

This was joined by an absolutely gorgeous 1:18 replica of the 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Lungo in blue (BBR1803A).
