New Models From Four Manufacturers

Today we’ve had seven new releases from three different manufacturers.

The most significant replica came from Mattel. They released their highly detailed 1:18 Elite replica of Fernando Alonso’s 2013 Ferrari F138 (DC21303B), which is specifically his winning car from the Chinese Grand Prix. The Elite version boasts race worn tyres, carbon fibre effect finish on key areas such as the suspension, and a fully detailed cockpit.

The American company also sent us a 1:43 replica of Herbie from the 1968 movie, The Love Bug (HWBCK07).

High-end Italian brand Look Smart delivered two gorgeous new 1:43 resin replicas to us: the 2013 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster in red (LS429A), and the 1939 Horch 930 V Roadster in black (LS432).

At the opposite end of the price spectrum, we received two excellent value 1:43 models from Corgi. Both the Rover SD1 3500 Vitesse Twin Plenum in red (CG09011) and James Shead’s Volkswagen Golf Mk.2 GTI from the 1988 BTCC (CG13601) look great for the price.

We also took delivery of one model from GMP: the 1:18 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W30 in green (GMP1805602).

Finally today, Spark announced a 1:43 replica of the rather nice Martini liveried Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 that won the 2014 Zandvoort 12 Hours in the hands of Peter Schmidt, Christian Bracke, Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis (SPKSP054).
