Lots To Get Excited About On New IXO Delivery

IXO is a bit of an all or nothing brand. We get nothing from them in months, and then an absolutely huge delivery turns up.

There were 21 new 1:43 replicas on this consignment. As ever, there was an excellent mix of modern and classic road cars, rally cars and endurance racers.

Our favourite has got to be the Jaguar MK.VII that Stirling Moss drove to victory in the 1952 Silverstone Touring Car Race (RAC239). We don’t believe that this car has ever been replicated before.

The best of the rallying subjects included the Lancia Delta that Juha Kankkunen drove to glory in the 1987 RAC Rally (RAC120), and a pair of very nice Saab 96 V4s, which were driven to second place by Stig Blomqvist in the 1974 RAC Rally (RAC232) and 1975 Rally of Sweden (RAC234) respectively.

The latest subject in the brand’s ever popular Le Mans Winners Collection also arrived, taking the form of the Porsche 936 that Derek Bell and Jacky Ickx raced in 1981 (LM1981).

We also received a new subject in the Museum Collection: the 1937 Delage D8-120 S Pourtout Aero Coupe in silver (MUS054).
