Brumm Announcements, Corgi Releases

posted in Endurance, Diecast, Other Cars |

Today Brumm announced several new models, and we received three new releases from Corgi.

The most exciting subject that Brumm confirmed today was a 1:43 two car set that paid tribute to the legendary duel between Jo Siffert and Pedro Rodriguez for the lead of the 1970 Spa 1000km (BR060).

This well presented set, which is limited to just 250 pieces worldwide, will feature the victorious #24 Porsche 917K of Jo Siffert and Brian Redman, and the #25 Porsche 917K of Pedro Rodriguez and Leo Kinnunen.

Sticking with the endurance theme, Brumm also announced three unusual variants of the Ferrari 512M racer: the machine that Masten Gregory and Gregg Young drove at Sebring in 1971 (BR548), the car that competed in the 1971 Brands Hatch 1000km in the hands of David Hobbs and Jose Juncadella (BR549), and the Ferrari that Jose Juncadella, Jean-Claude Guenard and Jean-Pierre Jabouille drove to second in the 1971 Tour de France (BR550).

The Italian company also announced a series of six 1:43 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO road cars, all of which you can see by clicking here.

We received a very significant aviation subject from Corgi today: the 1:72 Avro Vulcan B2 XH558 (CG27201), which was the plane used in the ‘Vulcan to the Sky’ flight in October 2007. This impressive model has a wingspan of 47.2 centimetres.

This was joined by the 1:43 BMW Alpina C2.5 Convertible in Brilliant Red (CG13700), and a 1:120 replica of the Tornado steam train in its 2012 BR green livery (CG97902).
