The Spark Announcements Keep On Coming

posted in Rallying, Resin, Formula 1 |

Today we put another swathe of Spark new announcements onto the website. This new set consisted of subjects from the world of rallying, and the US motorsport scene.

Spark has been extremely quick ofd the mark to confirm, in 1:43 scale, replicas of the three Peugeot 2008 DKRs that were driven by Stephane Peterhansel (SPK4454), Carlos Sainz (SPK4455) and Cyril Despres (SPK4456) drove in the Dakar Rally recently.

There were also some more models added to the resin brand’s 1:43 Pikes Peak Collection, including the spectacular Audi Quattro S1 E2 that Walter Rohrl used to win the 1987 event (SPA43PP87), and Rod Millen’s Pennzoil liveried Toyota Celica Super Sport Turbo from 1995 (SPA43PP005).

The 1:43 American motorsport announcements included winning cars from the Sebring 12 Hours, Daytona 24 Hours and Indianapolis 500, as well as Trans-Am, IMSA and NASCAR machinery.

Three of our favourites are specifically from the 1967 Indianapolis 500: Jim Clark’s Lotus 38 (SPK4274), Graham Hill’s Lotus 42F (SPK4275) and Jochen Rindt’s Eagle Mk.3 (SPK4256) If we’re being honest, we didn’t even know that Rindt ever raced at Indianapolis!
